Yvette Glinksi - Massage Therapy My name is Yvette Glinksi. I graduated August of 97 from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts Massage Program and have practicing since. I specialize in Swedish deep tissue and trigger point therapy. I also have certifications in CranioSacral. Thai massage ~ I love the Healing aspect of my job. I believe that therapeutic massage and chiropractic treatment combined together creates a powerful combination of benefits. Together they facilitate the natural healing process. Chiropractic care addresses misalignment of the bones of the spine while massage therapy addresses the muscles attached to the bones that could be pulling the bones out of alignment. Working with Dr Demith, I am able to assist with restoring balance to the spine which maintains your health and wellness. What I enjoy MOST is seeing the change in Dr Demith’s patient’s demeanor when they arrive compared to when they leave. They are more relaxed and centered. ~ Yvette

Chronic headaches are a distressing fact of life for millions of people. The need to continually cop with pain often diminishes the quality of a person' s life at work and home. With its ability to relieve muscle tension, promote healing of injuries, and reduce stress, therapeutic massage can be a powerful ally in your battle against chronic headaches.

What type of headache do you have?

  • Tension Headaches
  • Migraine headaches
  • Cluster headaches
  • Headaches due to neck injury
  • Other types of headaches.

Headache Relief From Massage Therapy

How can massage help? Massage to the neck and head can relieve headaches by releasing tight, shortened muscles, trigger points, and fascia (connective tissue surrounding muscles and other structures). When muscles and fascia relax and become more pliable, circulation improves. This helps eliminate irritating waste products and brings oxygen and healing nutrients to tissues.

If your headache is due to an injury, massage therapy can promote healing and make restrictive scar tissue more pliable in the muscles and ligaments of the neck. If posture is a factor, massage can help by increasing your awareness of tension patterns that affect your posture so that you can take steps to improve it.

For migraines, massage may be a powerful preventative measure. It can help reduce accumulated physical and mental stress and, over time, reduce the frequency and intensity of episodes.
